Steps for Helping Your Child Succeed at School

 

1. Teach your child the importance of learning

2. Prioritize study time

3. Provide a proper homework environment and ensure that homework is completed

4. Let them figure things out on their own before you intervene

5. Ensure that they get enough sleep as rest is very important

6. Encourage your child to read everyday

7. Talk with your child daily

8. Encourage responsibility and independence

9. Develop and maintain a partnership with your child’s teacher and the school staff

10. Attend PTA meetings regularly
