Welcome To Our School

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The Board of Directors, Staff and I extend a special welcome to all new families joining

St. Theresa Preparatory School, and welcome back all of our returning families for the Academic Year 2019-2020. We take pride in creating an educational atmosphere where students can learn in a caring and creative environment. As we focus on student achievement, we will provide a variety of academic and educational experiences that promote student growth and learning as required by the New Standards Curriculum (NSC) for Grades 1-6.

During the school year we encourage you to take an active role in your child's learning. The most successful students are those whose parents are involved in their education. These students tend to earn better grades, score higher on national examinations, have better attendance and show more positive attitude toward school.

Ways to support and increase your child's academic success include:

  • Attend school daily and arrive on time

  • Communicate often with your child's teacher

  • Complete all homework assignments given and sign them

  • Limit television and social media, encourage outside play

  • Review the school day with your child

  • Read daily to develop a love for reading and to improve comprehension skills  Share school experiences, so that you are aware of his/her school life.  Check your Email regularly to stay informed.

 

We look ahead to a productive partnership that will ensure that every student can achieve his/her highest potential.
